Here it is at last, Dusty's 10th album! The title song, Honky-Tonk Days, describes what it was like back in Dusty's road-running days, when music wasn't just a living, it was fun. Ultimate Honky-Tonk – from country through blues.
Honky-Tonk Days album: $12.00
Dusty's country music SOUNDS like country music! This “ultimate honky-tonk” offers a traditional country sound with an outlaw flavour and touches of rockabilly, blues and 50s rock.
Seasoned by his years of playing bar-band music, Dusty's original country songs have their roots in his early influences, which include Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Lefty Frizzell, and Buddy Holly.
Dusty's country music albums offer classic country guitar twang from Dusty's Telecaster, "Gypsy", a bass line that adds more than just a steady beat, and solid, original country lyrics. As a songwriter, Dusty is a master of the "hook" and knows how to tell a story - which is the essence of real country.
Most of the songs on Dusty's country albums are originals - but you'll hear definite overtones of artists like Ray Price, Waylon Jennings, Faron Young, Willie Nelson, and even B.B. King.
ALL ALBUMS $12.00 Canadian ($10 US).

Released in 2009 as the country side of the double album "50" to commemorate Dusty's 50th year as an entertainer, "Tele-Pickin' Bandit" reflects on the light and dark sides of life as a road musician. This album is dedicated to the members of the Brotherhood of Telecaster Bandits (the BTB) still out there on the road picking and trying hard to grin.
Move through the moods of country music, from light-hearted "party" music like Tele-Pickin' Bandit through humourous songs (I Hate Trains) to lovin' and losin' (This Side Of Lonesome) and the pain of the musician's life (The Road).

Honky-tonk country in a nutshell! "The Sound Of Lonesome" is Dusty's first album and still one of his most popular, with 12 tracks of slice of life, cry-in-your-beer real country with touches of outlaw country and blues.
Like all of Dusty's country albums, "The Sound of Lonesome" features a wide range of country styles. The album includes everything from the country waltz of The Best Thing (I'll Never Do) to the dramatic country rock of I Understand. Listen for classic honky-tonk flavours of Ray Price (There Stands The Jukebox), Waylon Jennings (As Long As There's A Jukebox), Buddy Holly and Ricky Nelson (Grey-Eyed Woman), even a touch of BB King (Nothing's Changed).

Dusty's second album has been described as a country boy's "Night Moves". An album for all the "boomers" out there (and anyone else who likes real country).
You'll find the humourous country-boogie boomer anthem of Too Old To Boogie, plus 50s rock 'n roll (Billy's Gotta Rock), Canadiana country/folk (On My Way Again), and pure honky-tonk country (Incredible Drinking Man).
(Album trivia: the man on the album cover is Mrs. Dusty's great-great grandfather.)
Too Old To Boogie, Too Young To Die album : $12.00
Solid country honky-tonk the way Dusty likes it - straight up. "Give me something real - something I can feel - honest music that cuts right to the bone…" - the defiant swamp-rock of the title song says it all.
Special note: Memory Lane is dedicated to Dusty's dad, Hank Woods. All profits from Memory Lane will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society.
Straight Up, No Rocks album : $12.00
Dusty does Christmas! All kinds of Christmas music ranging from country to rockabilly - and from traditional carols to blues.
"A Dusty Christmas" has something for everyone: a blues shuffle version of "Jingle Bells", fun Christmas rockabilly (Under The Mistletoe), Chicago blues (Merry Christmas Blues), Santa humour with a light calypso feel (Santa Ain't Coming), and instrumental versions of "What Child Is This" and "Silent Night".
(Album trivia: Dusty wrote “Deep Winter Blues” while living in Red Deer, Alberta - and no wonder!)
